Nazca Lines

We went quite a ways from Lima to visit the famous Nazca Lines. First, our driver stopped along the way so we could get a glimpse of them from the ground.

Then we went to the airport and got into a tiny little airplane to fly over them all. You can see them much better from the air.

This is the hummingbird. These excellent photos were taken by my mom because I was too busy puking to take any pictures. I got super motion sick so this was not the most fun plane ride for me!

The spider.

Meat markets: proceed with caution!

This gives you a little taste of the lovely things you get to see in the markets here in Cusco. I find the meat areas the most interesting. Yummm!!

Moray

I went on a short little day trip from Cusco with several girls from my Spanish school to the Incan ruins in Moray. I loved it! For once in this horrid rainy season, it was sunny and beautiful. Really amazing site.

PERU!

The countryside of Peru

The mass amounts of rain definitely keeps everything VERY green.

And then there are things like this to deal with on the roads. Donkeys in the street!

Sheep in the street! For some reason it always seems to be little kids herding these animals out of the way. Interesting.

Alpaca

Alpaca, or llama, is everywhere here in Peru.

And here I am having a little alpaca of my own. It's one of the local delicacies. Does NOT taste like chicken!
