Interesting toilet

I have seen about a million toilets worth taking pictures of down here, but I think this one takes the cake. Labeled for your convenience. I just had to share.

Sunrise swim in a hot spring

On the final day of my salt flats tour, we had a nice 4am wake up to see the geysers (no photos here because they didn't turn out well since it was dark) and then take a swim in a hot spring. It was nearly freezing outside but I managed to get into my bathing suit quick enough and run into this hot water!

Pink Flamingoes & Lagoons

The highlight of the second day of the salt flat tour was seeing tons of pink flamingoes chilling out in the lagoons.

View of our not always trusty jeeps from up on a hill.

More salt flats mean more salt flat pictures...

Salar de Uyuni: Day 1

From La Paz, I headed south to Uyuni to start a 3 day jeep tour of the salt flats. On the first day we visited this island-like place with tons of cactus right in the middle of the salt flats.

These are my little finger puppet friends (who I bought for no good reason at all) chilling out on a cactus.

Death Road

One of the biggest attractions in Bolivia, Death Road, did not disappoint. A big group of us from my hostel biked the thing all day long. The views were incredible, although parts of it were a little rough and the edge of the road with its super steep drop were usually just a few feet away. Luckily, the only spill I took I was a few feet away from the edge. :)

Isla del Sol

After the floating islands, it was a bus ride into Bolivia and onto more islands - this time the larger Isla del Sol. Sophie and I took a nice 4 hour hike from the north to south side, with some great views along the way. Other than some biting stray dogs, it was very pleasant!
